The table giving Maximum Dimensions for the River Cam shows length at 30m (98'5"). However, Maximum Length for Bottisham Lock is 29.61m (97'2"). The same table shows Maximum Beam as 4m (13'1"), though the beam given for Jesus Lock (on p88) is 3.0m and is reported as 4.25m (13'11").
The footpath east of the river is continuous from top to bottom of the page and forms part of the Fen Rivers Way. From High Fen Farm it follows the road through Chalk Pit. At the southern end of the roadway it hugs the unmarked lagoons, north of Upware Marina.
The footpath east of the river is continuous from top to bottom of the page and forms part of the Fen Rivers Way. Where the footpath indication is missing it runs on the top of the flood bank.

Bottisham Lock I2kGOp86
Bottisham Lock has a maximum length of 29.61m (97'2").
Bates Bite Lock I2kGOp88
Bate Bite Lock is shown as Beam 4.3m but this has been reported as 4.35m (14'3") FTG.
You can't get repairs at the Two Tees Boatyard any more.
Cambridge Pubs I2kGOp88
The Fresher and Firkin (Pub D in the list of Cambridge Pubs) should be shown next door (downstream) to The Boathouse (Pub B).
Jesus Green I2kGOp10c2
The list of Toilet Pump-Out Services is incomplete. Add: River Cam: Jesus Green, Cambridge FTG.
Jesus Green I2kGOp88
The pump-out requires a £1 coin.
Jesus Lock I2kGOp88
The moorings below Jesus Lock have mooring rings in the mouths of cast iron lions. (Some are just below the normal water level. Beware of the lion's noses which, if you moor alongside, are liable to rip the top off your gel coat or the blacking off your hull. One residential boater is known to use even those below the water line in preference to bollards as a deterrent mischievous youngsters who might otherwise untie his boat.)
A 58' narrowboat can wind at the end of the Lode "with a few feet to spare". The maximum length of craft given in the panel should probably read 59ft (17.98) and possibly 60ft (18.29m).
The text about Reach Lode is, as stated, on p95. However, the map is on p92-93.
Reach Lode Lock I2kGOp5p85
The lock (referred to as Upware Lock on p5) is shown reversed. The Lode is higher than the Cam.
Reach Lode Lock I2kGOp92I01GOp94
The lock takes a 58ft boat with a foot or two to spare. Both gates are of the guillotine type. The top one (furthest from the Cam) is very slow to operate - more than 10 mins to raise (or so it may seem). The lock will automatically 'revert' to a normal setting of empty - i.e. ready for boats to come in from the Cam - after about 30 minutes. Therefore, if you are exploring up Reach Lode, plan to fill your water tank at the tap above the lock on your way out; you can be filling the tank and starting the lock cycle at the same time.
A 58' narrowboat can wind at the end of the Lode "easily". The maximum length of craft given in the panel should probably read 59ft (17.98) and possibly 60ft (18.29m).
In June 2000 a 60ft narrowboat successfully turned near the end where the maps shows "Turning point for large craft". The maximum length of craft given in the panel should certainly read 60ft (18.29m) and possibly longer.
Burwell I2kGOp11c2GOp92
The EA moorings symbol at Burwell is misplaced. The moorings are on the southern bank west of the split into northern and southern channels. (The list of moorings on p11 refers to the "RH bank at end of navigation" - but doesn't that contradict the convention of naming left and right banks facing downstream? - Ed.)
Burwell I2kGOp92
The Weirs, the southern feeder, has a sign saying "End of EA navigation". [Information about whose permission you need to navigate that length is requested - Ed.]
The northern feeder quickly gets shallow and narrow with bridges about 2 feet high, accessible by nothing bigger than a canoe!
