Distance Chart I04FWp10c1
The use of fonts, italics and colons is inconsistent making the chart difficult to read. BOTH references to Ashline Lock (under 'River Nene Old Course' and 'Ramsey High Lode') should read Lodes End Lock.

Stanground Backwater

Stanground Lock I2kRNp10
The Middle Level Commissioners own navigation notes do not stipulate that 48hrs notice of passage through the lock is required, saying only: "Telephone lock-keeper beforehand and do not enter lock without keeper in attendance."
Stanground Lock I2kRNp10MLmap
There is a low footbridge across the lock. This is the reason for cruisers being limited to 12.2m length. They get through by going under the footbridge to the high end of the lock before letting in the water. The stern half of narrowboats have to fit under it and are likely to have about 8" clearance to the cabin top.

The telephone number should read 01733 566413.
