Frankton Junction
Llangollen Canal
- Frankton Junction N03#4p65
- The "milestone" panel indicates that there are 7 locks to Gronwyn Bridge. There are eight (Four at Lower Frankton, the Graham Palmer and three Aston Locks). The error is probably due to the addition of the Graham Palmer Lock at the time of the restoration of this section, famous for being missing from the 1997 edition.
- Frankton Locks N97#4p51
- Locking is restricted at Frankton. There are signs giving the hours at Hurleston Top Lock as well as at Frankton. The 2000 edition provides a navigational note that at Frankton Locks the lock-keeper will see boats through. "Boats must arrive at the following times: Mon-Fri 09:30-10:30 and 14:30-15:30, Sat 10:00-12:00, Sun 14:00-16:00. Do not arrive late! During the winter stoppage period please book with the Waterway Office on 01691 622549." The telephone number is curious because it conflicts with the new phone number given in the blue panel on p49!
- Lockgate Bridge N97#4p51 N2k#4p51
- There is a Water Point, Toilet and Sanitary Station on the Weston Branch. A refuse skip is located in the adjacent car park.

- Bridge 75 N97#4p50
- Corbetts Bridge is not indicated in Nicholson's annotation, but is marked in the original OS Mapping, 500 yards north west of the Queens Head "tunnel". It is not a tunnel but two new road bridges.
- Queens Head N97#4p50
- There is not a tunnel here but two new road bridges.
- Aston Locks N97#4p50
- The Locks are now open to navigation.
- Bridge 78 N97#4p53 N2k#4p53

- Bridge 79 N97#4p53 N2k#4p53

- Bridge 82 N97#4p53 N2k#4p53 N03#4p67
- Limit of navigation as of April 2003. In addition to the winding hole by Bridge 81, there is another (at which you are currently expected to wind) just north of Bridge 82.
- Bridge 82 N03#4p67
- The "milestone" panel indicates that there are 7 locks to Frankton junction. There are eight (Four at Lower Frankton, the Graham Palmer and three Aston Locks). The error is probably due to the addition of the Graham Palmer Lock at the time of the restoration of this section, famous for being missing from the 1997 edition.
