- Moorings N97#6p74 N2k#6p74
- Narrowboaters may find mooring between York and Ripon impossible, other than at the locks or the pub at Newton-on-Ouse. All other pubs have no specific moorings. Moorings can get very busy at weekends in the summer.

River Ure
Ouse Gill Beck
- Aldwark Toll Bridge N97#6p80 N2k#6p80
-
The footbridge shown in the 2000 edition to be 500 yds above the bridge is in fact roughly 3/4 mile upstream, adjacent to the church. The landing stage at the foot of the bridge is not a mooring but a rowing club stage.
The moorings for the Bay Horse are about 300yds upstream from the footbridge and are partially concealed by bushes. The moorings here can no longer be described as "good" as they need some maintenance as are a trifle fragile for use by narrowboats and there is only room for one vessel. It maybe, however, well worthwhile as the Bay Horse sells real ale, good food as described in the guide and the locals are very friendly.
- Milby Lock Cut N97#6p78 N2k#6p78

- Rhodesfield Lock N97#6p76 N2k#6p76
