- A major upgrade to the site vastly improves its readability in Netscape browsers. (Things aren't perfect yet - because of Netscape's appalling implementation of frames and bugs in the handling of style sheets!) A new site map has been added, listing all the pages on the site. There's a revised Site Guide and new submissions have been added to the following Nicholson Guides: Guide 1, Guide 2, Guide 3, Guide 4, Guide 5, Guide 6, Guide 7 and these Imray Guides: Great Ouse, River Nene and Middle Level.

Changed the text sent to non frame-enabled browsers from the main index page to provide a link to the Site Guide page. This should allow users of these browsers to navigate much more of the site. Also added a similar facility to the Nicholson index page.

Information on all the "First Mate Guides" added to the Local Guides Section. These guides cover the Ashby, Erewash, Grand Union, Llangollen, Montgomery, Regent's, Shropshire Union, Staffordshire and Worcester and Trent and Mersey Canals, and the Lee and Stort Navigations and the various waterways which make up the Leicester Ring.
Some minor revisions made to the Brecon and Abergavenny local guide.

- Added a Mail Lists page to provide a description of the two mail lists now associated with the site. Added links to that page from the top of this page, (to which I also added a reminder to refresh the page) the Site Guide page and the "Thank You" page (seen on submitting an update via the submission form). Made minor changes to the style sheet affecting the Nicholson links on the Site Guide page. Added more updates to Guide 4 and Guide 5. Full details of these entries are mailed to subscribers of the Nicholson mail list.

- Changed the name of the Full Menu page to Site Guide, as that more reflects its purpose. Some minor improvements to the wording have also been made and a few more links to other pages on the site added. This required changes to the Home page, Quick Menu and Site Guide itself. Added new items to the Local Guides page and have noted the size of the graphics which appear on the details page for each item. The new pages are those for Fen Waterways and Wisbech Port. Appropriate details pages have also been added. Some minor revisions to the Caldon Canal Guide page have been made. Added some updates to Nicholson's Guide #1 and Guide #5 pages.

- Complete revision of what was the "Nicholson Updates" site. It now includes updates to Imray's Guides to Fenland Waterways, the unofficial Middle Level Commissioners Site and listings and reviews of locally produced waterways guides.
